Description:

 In the modified selfie image, I turned  the 5 light shadows on my face into 5 different light value. I altered each value into 5 various textures of different surfaces such as wood grain, marble etc. that I drew on paper then I inserted them into each value spot. The textures create a contrast between the values and develops a since of volume to the image by using the textured values to make the selfie seem more 3-dimensional.
